3 Common Reasons that’s causing “Farm Maintenance” in PVU

There are three common reasons why you encounter the Farm Maintenance error in Plant vs. Undead:

1. Newly created accounts

The most common reason why new players get the farm maintenance error is because newly created accounts have to wait for 1-2 days before their account is activated.

Try logging in back to the game after 24 hours to see if the issue is fixed.

2. The game is undergoing a server maintenance

A server maintenance simply means the devs are temporarily preventing access to the game while they make some changes to the game, such as fixing bugs, upgrading the servers, or adding new features.

This is to prevent unexpected behavior and also gives them time to fix problems that may show up during the deployment.

3. It is not yet your batch’s turn to play

Another common reason where you the farm maintenance error occurs is when it is not yet your batch’s schedule to play.

Due to the surge of new players, the devs implemented a “batch scheduling” system where players are grouped into batches and only one batch can play at a time.

How to fix “Farm Maintenance” error in Plant vs. Undead

Here are some tips on how to fix the farm maintenance problem in Plant vs. Undead.

1. Check if there’s an ongoing server maintenance

To fix the Farm Maintenance error in PvU, you should first determine what exactly is causing the problem.

To check if the server is under maintenance, your best bet is to join the official Plant vs. Undead Discord server and check the announcements channel, or check their Twitter updates.

The devs and moderators are very active in posting updates and announcements regarding the state of the game.

2. Check your batch schedule

If you have confirmed that the game is not undergoing a maintenance and you still get the farm maintenance error, then it is most likely not yet your turn to play.

We have created a more in-depth guide on the game’s batch scheduling system here.

Unfortunately, there is no way to determine which batch you belong to.

As a general tip, we recommend checking every hour if it’s your turn to play.

Depending on the current number of batches at the moment, you will have to wait for 1-4 hours before you are able to login successfully and play the farming game mode.

3. Clear your browser’s cookies and cache

Another tip that’s helping some players with the farm maintenance issue is to clear their browser’s cache.

Delete the cookies (including 3rd-party cookies) in your browser and clear the cache. (Note that doing this may remove your login sessions and preferences for other web apps.)

You can also try logging in via an Incognito window, or by completely using a different browser such as Brave Browser.

If you’ve just created your account and already tried logging in to the game every hour without any luck, your account may have to wait for 1-2 days before it’s able to login.

Check back again tomorrow after 24 hours, and do steps 2 and 3 again and again until you can finally login.
